The second half of the Oscar de la Renta Spring 2013 show was devoted to party dresses, long and (very) short. The pale pink tea-length dress with black embroidery is the kind of classic ODLR that SJP will wear with a bright shoe, while the hot pink feathered mini dress immediately calls to mind Anna dello Russo.

In between were beautiful gowns in soft and bright colors mostly with full skirts and plenty of fancy. An exception which stood out (and not in a good way) was the simple black sheath with gold belt that seemed to have wandered in from a Donna Karan show by accident. All in all, this collection was vibrant and fun and beyond the sort of trends to which other designers frequently bow. -RS (Images via Vogue.com)
